About Me

I write Poems, Short WritingsShort Stories, and what I like to call Fictional Memoirs. I write to put words to what I feel and think about faith, love, and tensions in life. I try to have a specific rhythm in each piece. One thing people tell me when they visit the site is how the rhythm helped them view a concept differently.

I’m from St. Louis, MO where I met and married my wife. After earning my MDiv at Covenant Theological Seminary  we moved to SC to pastor at Mitchell Road PCA. Now I’m the RUF Campus Minister at Middle Tennessee State University. Go Blue Raiders! I hope to post more as time allows.

Thanks for visiting,

Jacob

  1. As an artist, your blog’s ascetics are quite good. Frankly, I’m impressed. And the words of wisdom aren’t too shabby either. Keep up the good work.

  2. Definitely will use the books on the shelf to connect them to people and their closed communication. I’d love to collaborate on writing sometime! Can’t wait to read your blog. -the girl from starbucks! Haha

  3. Great writing. “A Poor Excuse” made me really ponder on what I am composed of and where I am in my relationship with God

    • Dude! I’m so glad you picked up on that. It is easy to make excuses for how little we love God and others . . . seeing what we are made of is a strong indication of our position in our relationship with God. Check out “It Mattered To That One.” I think you’ll like that one. Here is the link
