There Is No Choir
To assume that the choir has been reached or to assume that the choir is not to be preached, is to assume that the choir is in correct and unified understanding with you. This simply is not true. As the idiom goes, “preaching to the choir,” I believe we should understand something: there is no choir. (Not in the sense of the phrase at least). Continue reading
Decide Now
Decide now.
You will never have all the answers. There will always be uncompensated for variables. Even the constants are changing. What will you gain by driving and straining to only make a decision after everything has settled and the opportunity has died before you even tried? Continue reading
Thoughts That Keep Me Up At Night
I try not to create when it is late. When the light bulbs are buzzing and the crickets are having small talk. I feel like going on a walk. Somewhere I can clear my thoughts from the memories—nostalgia—thinking of people I knew. Continue reading
This Is Sober Joy
This is sober joy.
Joy grounded and founded in the same place our lives stop: The Rock.
Joy is connected to death. If you do not see the beautiful bow that ties the two, then please read on to see the tree. Continue reading
Becoming A Loving Person

Taken by Debbie Virtue
Just like anything else we do, being a loving person requires work. This work is not something we may ever perfect in this life. Becoming a person who loves means becoming a person who takes risks. Love is more than giving a hug, and it is more than acts of service like cleaning a tub. Continue reading

It Mattered To That One
It mattered to that one.
Although we cannot put a number on salvations, we can count to one. One person coming to repent, believe, and follow Christ is what matters. When one person comes from death to life, from darkness to light, from old to new, then all of heaven rejoices. The Angels sing with spender, “It mattered to that one.” Continue reading
Love Dwells
If you don’t
Feel love,
If you don’t
Think of,
Those whom surround
You now;
Those who are bound
For Hell.
And somehow
You think,
You have had,
The drink-
That represents
Christ’s blood;
His covenant:
His love.
Then, if I may,
Suggest a Jew,
I think I’ll say,
His gift’s for you.
Repent and believe,
Vigorously.
Mercy you’ll receive,
Continuously.
Love them often.
Love each one well.
He is awesome.
In Christ, love dwells.
